Ardente Winery
Carlo and Marie Francoise Di Ruocco founded Mr. Espresso, a specialty coffee roaster in 1978. Then in 1992, Carlo and Marie Francoise were looking for a house in the Napa Valley for their retirement. After many months of searching they found a 25 - acre estate with five acres of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, tucked away in the quiet hills of Atlas Peak. From the very beginning, they knew their was something special about this place.
The warm arid climate and rocky, mountainous terrain were reminiscent of Carlo's home in Italy. The rich volcanic soil, 1400 - foot altitude, and more moderate micro-climate provided the perfect conditions for growing high quality Cabernet grapes.
Carlo and Marie Francoise released their first estate Cabernet Sauvignon in 1996. Their latest release is the 2000 Sangiovese and the 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon. Please contact us if you would like to sample these fine wines for yourself.

Class V Images
Welcome to my website. I hope you will enjoy browsing through my travels as a photographer as much as I have enjoyed visiting these remarkable locations and having the opportunity to interpret, enjoy and photograph them. I plan to use this part of the website to provide news and other information and to answer questions that come in about locations or photography. For me, the process of sharing what I see and photograph is my primary motivation in creating the website.
The website is in its early stages. I plan to add additional images, framing capability and new categories over time. I have reorganized the categories on the website to make it easier to navigate. For example, there is now a main category for National Parks, with subcategories for individual parks. I have also added images from Africa, from Glacier and other national parks I have recently visited, and from some foreign travels (Oaxaca).

Jean Arnold Group
JEAN ARNOLD GROUP & THE HALLMARK PRINCIPLE
In 1998, Jean L. Arnold began writing a new definition and understanding of Strategic Brand Positioning for the luxury tier of the wine business. Jean has spent more than two decades committed to creating image and positioning for some of the highest quality wine producers in the world. The concept of the Hallmark Principle for the wine industry has been developed and trademarked by the Jean Arnold Group as a specific method of working together with winery ownership to establish an authentic point of differentiation and focused brand position.
The term Hallmark is taken from the book 'English Goldsmiths and their Marks' which describes the unique symbols of the 13th and 14th century Guild of Goldsmiths. These distinguishing symbols were used to mark, for the realm, the highest quality of the craftsman’s artistic work.
The Jean Arnold Group defines the Hallmark Principle today as the dedication to the unique vision of ownership and the commitment to the standards by which their work will be measured. As in the 13th and 14th century, the Hallmark Principle of the Ownership is used as a touchstone to provide stability in decision making and to ensure that vision and quality standards are consistently upheld.

Kaces
The Kaces brand was a big dream rolling around in Alan Poster's head when he acquired Ace Products back in 1981. What started as a strap company has now grown into a major supplier of gig bags, cases and accessories for musicians and DJs the world over.
Alan’s journey began as a guitar salesman back in the 70s, where he watched working musicians and roadies struggle with archaic plywood travel cases that were heavy, bulky and in constant need of repair. He knew there had to be a better way so he started looking into the new “space-age” poly materials that were lighter and stronger. He also worked with new emerging manufacturers who were on the leading edge of technology for the times.
To satisfy those musicians who still insisted on wood cases, Alan also explored new ways to make the old ply designs lighter yet stronger by applying what he learned from these factories that were making cases for the camera, sports and military industries.
The end result was the introduction of a high-quality yet very affordable line of fabric, polyfoam and hardshell wood cases… great products for the beginner, the student and the working musician… easy to carry yet tough enough to withstand the rigors of the road.
Today, Kaces offers over 200 models for band, orchestra, percussion, guitar, keyboard, DJ and pro-audio applications. They are also expanding into a new “Strukture” line of cables, music stands, mic stands, keyboard stands and other accessories for the working musician.

Karen Bonnie, Western Artist
A passion for horses molded the life of Karen Bonnie from her earliest memories. Born in Wisconsin and growing up in the Midwest, many summers spent on an uncle's farm, she expressed her love for horses through her drawing pencils. In adult life, it was her admiration for these noble animals that spurred her interest in western history, cowboy legend and Native American cultures. While re-training retired race horses for the dressage arena as a hobby, she expanded her commercial photography career into advertising and graphic design. In 1991, Karen drew on her knowledge of ancient and traditional techniques to found a buckskin garment company. She won "Best New Collection" for her designs at the 1999 Western Design Conference in Cody, Wyoming.
During the 1990's she concurrently showed hand tinted photographs and drawings at her Magpie Woman Gallery in Abiquiu, New Mexico. In 1991 she was an invited artist at "The Governor's Choice" Art Show in Santa Fe, featuring hand tinted photos from the famous Bell Ranch. While at her gallery she met several up-and-coming artists, including Barry McCuan and Doug Coffin, who provided inspiration and showed her by example the road to an art career. It was when she met Linda and Dean St. Clair that she took the leap by relocating to southern Colorado, where she started painting in oils. The St.Clairs both were generous with their knowledge of painting and marketing of their work.
Now turning her efforts to painting full time, Karen renders the objects of her passion.....ranching and particularly working cowgirls, Native American culture, wilderness, wolves and, of course, horses........in the vibrant, lush colors that are only achievable in oil paints."I see horses as heroic, powerful, fun-loving and affectionate beings, and I try to express this to the viewer in my work." She shares her century-old ranch house in southern Colorado with her husband, Pete, who is a traditional Cheyenne, with their two wolf hybrids, their horses and dog, and hikes or rides daily in the nearby mountain wilderness when not riding with the crew for neighboring ranchers. The surrounding community of ranchers and farmers provides her subject matter, and supports and inspires her in her loving portrayal of cowboy culture in its present-day reality, and all things "of the Horse".

Kenilworth Junior High School
Welcome to Kenilworth Junior High School! This family planner will provide you with a tremendous amount of necessary information that will contribute to your student’s success here at Kenilworth. Our dedicated and caring staff has worked very hard in creating a school with high academic and behavioral expectations. The details of our procedures and operations contained in this handbook are the result of the efforts of our staff to provide students with resources needed for a successful experience at Kenilworth.
Included in the student planner are weekly assignment sheets for the entire school year. Each student should record required assignments for every class, due dates for long term projects, and test dates. Each page also includes a section for communication with teachers; a system that works only if the student shares the messages with the teachers. Parents should inspect this planner frequently with their student to support the development of planning and organization skills. Students should not wait until the night before an assignment is due to begin work; our most successful students work on assignments the night they are assigned. This system allows students to check with teachers the next day and get needed help before the assignment is due. Parents should contact teachers immediately with any questions or concerns.

Law Offices of Scot Bernstein
We represent individuals and groups of people who have been financially abused or otherwise “ripped off” by careless or dishonest companies. This is divided into two primary areas of practice: securities arbitrations/investment disputes and class actions representing employees and consumers.
Securities arbitrations and investment disputes. We represent investors and savers who have been taken advantage of by stockbrokers, financial planners, investment advisers, stock brokerage firms and the securities industry generally. Often, the cases are brought against the very largest names on Wall Street.
Class actions for overtime pay, wage-and-hour violations, and other consumer rip-offs. We represent employees who have not been paid the full wages, including overtime pay and vacation pay, that their employers owe them. We also represent consumers who have paid their hard-earned money for products that are defective or do not deliver as promised.

MarVista Farmers Market
The Mar Vista Farmers’ Market is a non-profit organization.
It came about as a result of local business owners and neighbors’
desire to create a Mar Vista Town Square.
The first Mar Vista Market took place August 6, 2006.
In just a short time it has more than met it’s goal of bringing fresh,
direct-marketed produce from California farmers to the
community. Sundays are a bustling example of Mar Vistans
coming out to shop, eat, and visit with their neighbors while also
achieving broader social impacts – from community development,
to health and nutrition, to preserving family farms.
Thanks to all in the community for your ongoing support.
It is you that make this wonderful entity what it is today.

Midsummer Cellars
With this release we find that the 2003 wines of Midsummer Cellars have taken another positive step toward our long range goal of focusing on Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. As the vines in our Cañon Creek Vineyard gain age and complexity we will eventually have more of that wine to share with you.
In the meantime, we have been gifted by grapes from a very special vineyard with a very special relationship to my family. The Mann Vineyard is an incredibly small (1/2 acre) part of the heart of Rutherford Cabernet country. The last of the Mann family, Helen, was a close family friend until she joined her husband, Rollie. My having been named after him created an extraordinary bond between us. The grapes are now in the hands of others but these few bottles of Mann Vineyard Cabernet are an homage to the deep connection of two families— spanning generations and decades.

Mosaics in Mexico
In 1949, Elpidio Perdomo founded Mosaicos Venecianos de Mexico (MVM), the first glass mosaic factory in the Americas. With the help of Italian glass artisans (some still on staff!), the fusion of Murano Masters' glass formulas, with the substitution of local raw materials and techniques, created a new and unique mosaic product that is known today as “Mexican Smalti”.
The factory came about during a dynamic time for Modern Art in Mexico. Painters and Muralists such as Diego Rivera, (1886 – 1957,), Juan O'Gorman (1905-1982), and Jose Chavez Morado (1909-2002), helped to form a bridge between Modern Art and Mexican glass mosaics by enlisting MVM to translate their work into mosaic. Thus, the history of 'modern' art in Mexico is very intertwined with the history of MVM and the Perdomo Family

Oakville Ranch
Situated on a mountainous plateau, with sweeping vistas of the Napa Valley, the ranch encompasses 350 acres of rolling terrain. Although primarily untouched woods and California grasslands, there are a scant 80 acres of vineyards thoughtfully draped over the undulating hills. Striking in its unique character is the vibrant, almost otherworldly, rusty-red hue of the rocky vineyard soil. This signature component of terroir expresses itself in all the wines of Oakville Ranch Vineyards — a subtle but identifiable mineral character threaded through the expansive and powerful fruit.

Petaluma Chamber of Commerce
Your Chamber Equals Opportunity
Years ago, business leaders discovered that by joining forces, they could become an important voice to articulate the needs of their members, and to work to maintain an environment that would help them succeed. Thus were Chambers of Commerce founded.
Even today, your Chamber has as its most important role the voicing of opinions in public forums that reflect the needs and desires of its members. But Chambers have become much more than that as the years have evolved; and your Petaluma Chamber is certainly a good example of that, with experience dating back to 1906.

Petaluma Educational Foundation
Enhancing educational excellence in all Petaluma area public and non-profit private schools through Grants, Scholarships and Cultural Enrichment Programs.
In 1982, a group of teachers, business leaders and community activists in Petaluma, CA convened to develop funding solutions for the schools of Petaluma, a town of 55,000 in the wine country of Sonoma County in northern California. A controversial new state law, Proposition 13, had resulted in a dramatic decrease in the revenue, creating major deficits throughout the California school system.
The outcome was the creation of the Petaluma Educational Foundation (PEF), a privately funded, non-profit organization whose primary goal is to raise money in the community to directly benefit the schoolchildren of all Petaluma's 31 public and non-profit private schools. Since its inception, the Foundation has truly made a difference through several significant programs:

PetalumaMusicFestival, Inc.
Our goal is simple: "keeping music in the schools". The Petaluma Music Festival Board of Directors believe passionately in the positive influence of music in children’s lives. Proceeds from this annual event will be distributed among Petaluma’s public elementary and secondary schools to provide funding for their music programs. Funding for the arts is problematic in California, as there is never enough funding for all our school's needs. With your attendance, you are making a difference, and we applaud you!

pompeii painters
The recovered frescoes form the ancient city of Pompeii are the inspiration for the work and the name of the decorative painting firm Pompeii Painters. Recreating the rich patina of antiquity is the theme for many murals and painted finishes, but it doesn't end there. From elegant Old World traditions to sleek, innovative contemporary styles, Pompeii Painters is a comprehensive source for beautiful hand-crafted finishes.
Schooled in Fine Arts at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, Kate Sirna---the creative engine and hands-on artisan behind Pompeii Painters--is an accomplished artist and colorist. Fifteen years of experience in Decorative Art and numerous workshops in all aspects of the field keeps her current in a booming industry. With extensive knowledge of decorating styles and trends, she brings to each commission a sophisticated eye and a creative flair.
Decorative Painting has come a long way from sponges and latex. Pompeii Painters offers the latest in State-of-the-Art techniques and materials: walls washed in soft color-blends or deep and multi-layered; textured with stone-like plasters; or with Venetian, polished to a marble gloss; traditional damask patterns layered with colored glazes or contemporary panels of faux suede or leather; pictorial scenes to complement any style, for your room or for your child's. With these tools and her creativity, Kate will work with you to fulfill the vision that you have for your home or business.

Reunion Blues Gig Bags
Founded in 1976, Reunion Blues has become known as the music industry’s premier gig bag and case company. With over 70 models available for fretted, brass, woodwind, strings and percussion instruments, the selection is deep and wide. The products are available in Performance fabric, in Classic full-grain leather, and in a new leading-edge RB Continental series that is enjoying huge success in the industry. There’s even a selection of multiple instrument bags like double guitar and triple trumpet.
At a recent NAMM show in Anaheim, CA, scores of veteran players related heart-felt stories of still using the same Reunion Blues bag they purchased one, two, even three decades ago. Over the years, terms like “Road Warrior”, “Old Friend” and “Better With Age” have become synonymous with the product, while “Legendary” and “Bullet-Proof” have been used to describe the brand.
Now heading for its 35th year, Reunion Blues remains faithful to maintaining the established quality of the product. We are also committed to refining the elements that made Reunion Blues a classic in the first place, by bringing the line into the 21st century with modern materials and designs.
Only Reunion Blues continues to earn the music industry reputation as the best of the best.

The Art of John Ramos
Juan Elias Ramos was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and came to the United States as a child with his family to live in California. Raised in Los Angeles, he knew at a young age that drawing and art came easily and natural for him. Studying fine art painting and graphic design n the 1960”s at California State University, Long Beach, he began to develop his skills in drawing and painting, as well as architectural and industrial design.
Working primarily in the area of graphic design and marketing after college, Ramos established his own business in So. California, first the Sunshine Studios, and then his own JOHN RAMOS DESIGN studio in Laguna Beach, California. Creating for the “corporate world” during the day and painting in the evenings, Ramos was selling his paintings in the summer months at the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts and local galleries.
Then, in 1980 he used his experience and knowledge in the printing area, and decided to publish his original paintings as limited edition lithograph prints. He then began showing and selling his editions in galleries all over the United States, Mexico, and abroad while having his exhibitions at the International Art Expos of the 80’s & 90’s.

Tiki Tees
In the beginning, back when we lived in caves, the People didn't really understand what was going on. Why do things happen te way they do? Why are the days longer part of the year and shorter other times... Why does it get cold and why does it get hot. Why does the moon come and go, and the stars spin in the skies?
So they made up stories and the keepers of the stories were Shamans, they could see the patterns in life and explain them to the People so the people could feel comfort and safety.
The thing that separates man from the beasts they say is tools. But what did Man do with tools after first learning how to use them to feed himself and his People? Man used the tools to make art. First they made art on the walls of the caves. And, as Man moved in to the daylight they inscribed art on rock walls in the canyons and they carved art from the trees. And they wove art from the reeds and molded it from clay. And within all of this art was passed on the wisdom of the Shaman, the seers who could divine the patterns of life; those gifted persons that could see the threads of reality so the People could make sense of their existence.

West Palm Wines
Daily we are asked the questions like, “what would you drink with this wine?” or “how long will this wine last?” As our local consumer makes the switch from beer and spirits to wines, the need for information has become great. Our job, as wine merchant is as much sales as it is instruction. Basically, we are trying to build drinkers for the long term as opposed to fad. That’s where the Tampa Wine Institute is so vital to changing the culture of how wine is appreciated and collected in the Tampa Bay.
The Tampa Wine Institute offers an array of classes and tastings from the very basic, “Introduction into Wines of the World” to the most refined and expensive Grand Tasting, “Eight decades of Classified Growth Bordeaux”. Our President, Jim Sirna, has over 25 years of experience selling wines of the world in New York City. His expertise is always shared with a ‘sense of humor and humility’. The object, to have the consumer leaving with their palates sated and their wonders dispelled.
Whether you are a complete novice or an accomplished collector, the Tampa Wine Institute provides the forum for you. Please check our website for weekly updates on classes and tastings.
